On the 8th of August our Party busses from Split went to the event of they year – DJ David Morales playing at Aurora Primošten. This year was 10^th time that Morales was playing at Aurora, Danny the owner of Aurora had informed us to be there in good time; otherwise we would not be able to get the bus close to the club.

So at 10 PM we left with the busses from Spilt, In Trogir we picked some more party guest, the atmosphere on the bus was great, especially after people got a few glasses of the homemade punch which we where selling at the bus.

Well Arrived at Aurora, the most Horrible news arrived, Morales was cancelled (His plain did not arrive from Italy), which of course was a big disappointment, but looking at the crowd outside of Aurora, it was clear that this night would bring a mega party anyway, so we stayed partying till 6 AM.

On Friday we then took the hard core party guest, to the second Morales night, and this time he was there! so everybody hat great party until 07:00 in the morning where we headed back to Spilt.

The largest Disco in Dalmatia AURORA is situated in Primošten 50 north of Split, during the summer season from mid June to mid September, some of the best DJ’s in the world like David Morales, Cedric Gervais and Shapeshifter are in the program for this summer.

As we noticed that getting to AURORA from Split by public transport was quite complicated and expencive, we decided to launch a partybus, so every Friday and Saturday at 11 PM our partibus leaves from center of Split with destination AURORA, during the 50 minutes drive we party on the bus and get to know the other guests.

Last Friday we went to Foam party which was great fun, everybody ended up be completely soaked after bathing in the Foam and jumping into the pool.

Next weekend we will go to Venice with our Australian friends, Shane and Julie and there kids Aklei and Roklan, to participate in the 34 Vogalonga regatta, for rowing boat and Kayaks.

For me it is going to be a big challenge to finish the 30 km route, as I never sad in a Kayak before, but Shane who is a Kayak expert has been so kind to get a double kayak for me and him, so I have chance to rest if necessary.

We will leave Split Friday at noon and have to reach our Italian camp destination Capalonga Camping/Tourist Village at around 19.00 in the evening, Saturday we will go and have look at the surrounding area and prepare our selves for the race Sunday.

When we are back I will let you know if I managed to finish the race in one peace.

Omiš is a small town and port at the mouth of the Cetina River in the littoral of Poljica, 26 km southeast of Split. Major attractions include quality accommodation facilities, good traffic connections, gastronomic offer (the hinterland of Omiš is famous for wholesome foods) and the Cetina canyon - Zadvarje - Gubavica. In the vicinity is also the well-known restaurant in Radmanove Mlinice (water mills), which offers local specialities. Omiš is known as a mediaeval pirate centre.

Picturesque mountains and the river enclose the urban core with fortresses. On the coast are an almost 1-km long sand beach (ideal for children) and the 700-m long shallow, created by the Cetina drifts.

The famous Cetina River and its canyon, nearby mountain tops and islands, ancient vineyards and olive plantations, small fishermen villages together form the landscape of extraordinary beauty.

Without any doubt, the Cetina River is one of the most beautiful places in Croatia for freshwater kayaking white water rafting. It is situated in a luscious region surrounded by quaint little villages and is very important, both historically and archaeologically, and is definitely the place to go for. Omis has it all. Numerous beaches and bays, rich vegetation, fresh air and crystal blue sea make Omis Riviera the perfect place to escape the stress and rush of modern life.

At the summer you can enjoy in traditional Festival of the Dalmatian a Capella songs and “pirates evening”. Omiš is also known as old pirate town. As excellent seamen, Omiš citizens, during 13th - beginning of 15th century, “supervised” navigation on the Adriatic Sea, endangering, generally, Venetian ships and their property in Dalmatian, as well as ships of Naples Kingdom. In that name people from there, and of the June organise “Pirates evening” for them self’s and tourist .It is very attractive and interesting with lot of fun.

Yesterday we went on the boat show in Split, which meanwhile has become the largest in the region, the boat show attract buyers from several countries looking for everything from small boat to 100 foot yacht, also there is a large number of exhibitors presenting equipment like engines, sailor clothes, water sport equipment etc. can be found on the fair.

So if you have a look at our photos from the boat show, you might want to visit your selves next year in April when the 11th Croatian boat show takes place here in Split.

Sonday i was on the boat show for the second time, this time i was invited by a business partners who had arranged for us to see the largest boat on the show a 110 foot luxury yacht.

As you can see that boat has more or less everything you need (-:

This year international event "Maslina (Olive) Split 2008" happened on 23rd February, the popularity of this event is visible by number of oil samples, more than 1000,  from different part of Croatia, and foreign countries like Slovenia, BIH, Italy, Montenegro, France, Albania, Espana, and even Australia and new Zealand.

The producer contested in the following categories:

Extra vergine olive oil made with different producing systems (the colour, taste, density were evaluated).

Extra vergine olive oil with different aromas

Conserved olives

Goat cheese

Bottle design

Label design

There was also exhibition of equipment and new knowledge regarding olive-growing - very helpful for the people working with olives.

The olive oil from the olives we picked on Hvar in November won 2 Gold medals, also my accountant Kusmanic managed to take several medals and a main price, so in 2008 we will have access to plenty of first class olive oil.

Small tip: If you are in Croatia, try to see if you can find a farmer from whom you can by the olive oil, as most of the oil you find in the stores has lower quality.
