<description>ja det var en overraskelse (-:

We are actually danish family, but we have been living in Split since 2005, so you can actually also find this page on danish www.feriekroatien.dk

We only get to spend the days before Christmas in Split, now we are back in DK, and will stay here till the beginning of January.

God jul og rigtig godt nytår

		<description>Hehe, det var satans...

You write about my country and I live in yours!

I envy You a bit, because I never get opportunity to spend Christmas in Split. That&#039;s because I have job as organist in some churches here on Lolland, and I get busy from tommorow.

I don&#039;t know if You live in DK, but here on Lolland we don&#039;t get that much snow anyway for Christmas. This year, if we are lucky, it might be some left for Juleaften.

Må du og din familie få en velsignet og glædelig Jul samy lykkebringende Nytår!

		<description>Hi Lolland
Nice hearing story from somebody who grew up in split, I have heard lots of different stories from that time, so I guess everybody had a different perception of those days.

Today the Christmas in Split get more and more like in rest of Europe, only thing missing is the snow, which of course makes it more difficult to get the real Christmas feeling like I know it from my home country DK.

<description>Nice reading and subject! I must nevertheless say that comunist period wasn&#039;t that &quot;dark&quot; with regard to church and traditions, as long as one kept it in private.

I was born in Split in 1963 and remember every single Christmas, both quiet evenings at home and the special holiday atmosphere and vibration of midnight mass. We used to sing all the carrols we knew, lot of people would open their doors and windows and offer food... At my home, we always had tons of decorations.

Everything written about schools and ideology is right on spot, thanks God Croatia is looking towards brighter future now!</description>
