Ida skiing holiday 2009
The good think by being and expat is that you from time to time experiences thing which you would most properly not experience in your home country.
Or latest experience under this category was that the kindergarten, where our 5 year old daughter Ida goes, offered a 5 days skiing trip for the oldest kids. So as we hear about the trip back in January we asked Ida if she wanted to go, the answer was YES of course, as she had already hear that her best friends from Kindy was also going.
Two weeks before departure we had and information meeting at the kindy, where we received detailed information about the trip, in total more than 30 kids and 6 kindergarten teacher, from 4 different kindy’s, and a nurse (as It is required by Croatian law) would go on the trip. Everything seamed extremely well planned, not only the part regarding the skiing, but also the evening activities was planned, which among others included a pajama party and a Carnival.
As concerned parents we of course anyway had to ask Ida if she was sure that she wanted to go, and if she was sure she could sleep 5 days without here parents, here reply was, “of course I want to go, I am not afraid to sleep with out you as I have “Teta” Valle” – (here kindergarten teacher – Valentina).
So on the 22th of February I left us for a 5 days skiing trip close to the Croatian Olympic ski center in Bjelolasica.
As you can see from the pictures here the kids had a wonderful time

When we picked up Ida on the 27, she proudly presented showed us her diploma and the medal she got for participating in the ski school, according to here the trip had been so existing so already now have assured us that she will go next year also.
Back in Denmark I am not aware of any kindergarten who offers 5 days trips for kindergarten kids, so for us this was a new experience, but a very good one, so we definitely will let Ida go next year also.
