The airport of Rijeka is actually located on the island of Krk, close to Omisalj, approximately 30 km from Rijeka. The island of Krk is connected to the mainland by a bridge; the toll for the cars is 35 kuna but it has to be paid only when coming from the mainland to the island. The main bus station is located in the center of Rijeka, on Jelacic Square 3. Next to the bus station, there is a bus stop for the local, urban and suburban buses which will take you to any place in Rijeka or the surroundings. The ride between the airport and the bus station lasts 30 minutes.

If you don’t want to take a bus, it is possible to book a private transfer in advance in order to take you at the desired address. It is the best option for those who carry a lot of luggage; a driver will wait for you at the airport in due time and take anywhere within Rijeka, its surroundings but also to any other destination.
