Split International flower show
Every year in Mai, Split hosts an international flower show where local and international florists compete in different categories, like e.g. table decorations.
The special think about they Split flower show is that it is held in the basements of Diokletians Palace, where the temperature and the humidity provide the florist with excellent condition for the 5 day event.
This year I was invited to the opening event of the show by a parent from our daughter Caroline’s school class, here company was in charge of the organization of the event.
I most admit I was quite surprise when I saw the work of the florist, the whole basement of the palace was full amazing creations, till now I always found that the few florist shop I know in Split rather boring, but as you can see on the pictures, they seam to be really skillful.
As this was my first flower show ever, I am wrong person to judge, if the flower show in Split is any better than other international flower show, but I can for sure say, that nobody will be disappointed if the visit the show in Split
