What we do 3 - Internet cafe
As we started setting up business in Croatia back in 2004 there was only very few internet cafes in the country and for sure no one with broadband internet, as prices that time was around 400 Euro amount for at ADSL line, so part of our plans was to establish well connected internet cafes along the cost. We managed to set up 4 internet cafes 2 in Spilt and 1 in Omis and Trogir.
After working first season with the 4 internet cafes we had to give up the 2 in Omis and Trogir as it was simple to much time we had to spend in traffic when we had to visit the location to do service etc.
Today we still operate one location in Split and have sold the second café to a good partner of ours. Both cafés are very well equipped with DELL computers and of course the highest speed of internet access currently available in Croatia.
You find the Internet Café at the following addresses:
Internet café 1:
Obala kneza Domagoja bb.
Next to ferry terminal, bus station and main train station
Internet café 2: first floor
Zadarska 11
Located in the old town, close to the street Marmontova.
You can see directions to the internet cafés on this map

What we do 2 - Call shops
In the beginning of 2005 we started implementing call shops as long the Croatia cost which is another alternative for tourist to avoid the extremely high roaming prices. A the beginning this was really up the hill work, we actually visited all cities along the cost and on the island to find suitable location, and when we found a suitable location, the really hard work started, which was convincing the owners to implement call shops.
When we convinced them we had to implement the call shop, as main part of our new “partners” had little or basically no knowledge about IT, we had make detailed manual and train them in using our very simple software works, but somehow we managed to get around 40 Call shops up running from Umag in north to Dubrovnik in south, all of them worked very well during the summer season, so the owners was quite happy, that we "pushed" them to try this opportunity.
All of our partners from that time are still working with us, so I guess we are doing an Ok job, so if you should visit Croatia this summer; do not hesitate support them just look for sign saying Dencall call shop which you find i all major turist city along the Adriatic cost.
And last but not least please remember
IMPORTANT: as Croatia is not a part of EU the lower rates for using the mobile phone which was enforced by the EU does NOT apply for Croatia, roaming fees are still extremely high, so if you don’t want to end up ruining you holiday here, you should consider using our Calling card or the callshops.

What we do 1 - Calling card
Meanwhile I have been asked by some many people what we are actually doing in Croatia, so I thought it was time to explain a little bit about what we are doing.
Since 2004 we have been running the company Dencro d.o.o which have the following business areas
- Calling Card
- Call shops
- Internet Café
So in this post I will tell you about our Calling Card.
What is a calling card?, a calling card is at card which can be used to place affordable calls to anywhere in the world, from a fixed phone, public payphone or a Croatian mobile phone.
As we launched the card back in 2004, the Croatians basically did not know about this product, but in 2004 and 2005 we put a lot of effort in educational marketing, this seamed to convince a large number of people that if was actually trough when we where saying, save up to 90% on the international calls.
During the years we had several competitors trying to outcompete us, unfortunately for them to underestimated who conservative the consumers are, there strategy with extremely cheap price and no service and marketing was not accepted by the customers, so the are not anymore in the market.
IMPORTANT: as Croatia is not a part of EU the lower rates for using the mobile phone which was enforced by the EU does NOT apply for Croatia, roaming fees are still extremely high, so if you don’t want to end up ruining you holiday here, you should consider using our Calling card.
