Jagodna, hidden bay on Hvar Island

img_4221_medium_smallMost of my best memories are related to beautiful bay on island of Hvar. It is situated on northern side, 4km from Hvar town.

jagodna-the-bayWhen I was 4 years old my parents bought peace of land there, and we were there almost every weekend. Also today, when I have free time, Jagodna is one of my most wanted destinations, especially since they build a house there. No if you go here in summer or winter, spring or autumn, you always will find it peace here, you basically only will be disturbed by our own voice.

My father has small boat and very often we go fishing. There is not much fish in our net, but it’s enough for us. The house is 5m away from sea, it takes few minutes to prepare grill so we are practically eating the most possible fresh sea fish.

I Croatia we normally say: “The fish has to swim 3 times, in sea, in oil, and in wine“, it is good that there are beds after good homemade wine.
