Submitted by Aneta on 17. March 2008 – 02:24No Comment
Palm Sunday is a moveable feast which always falls on the Sunday before Easter. Palm Sunday lead us in Holy Week. It celebrates the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where people spread palm branches and oil branches.
Like each year in front of the church old people selling oil branches for symbolic 1 Kuna. The ceremonies as celebrated now in the Catholic Church are divided in three distinct parts: (1) The solemn blessing of the palms, (2) the procession, (3), the mass.
Today I singing at the mass, my family was there and it was very sacramentally. It was one more nice day in Split.
